DEWA ATHENA

“Dewa Athena” is a sport competition that held from 10^th March 2016 until 12^th March 2016. This year is the 8^th years Dewa Athena is held. The participants were X grade and XI grade. There are many categories there, they are futsal, basketball, dodgeball, voleyball, badminton, tug of war, relay race, chess, and gobak sodor.

On the first day, all participants must gathered at Bali Field. The headmaster and the head of committee were giving some speech before the opening started.

After that, the committee gave us the schedule. The first match was gobak sodor vs X IPA 7. Unfortunately, our class lost. I didn’t join the gobak sodor match. The next match was relay race vs XI IPA 2. Luckily, our class won because the second runner of XI IPA 2 dropped the stick. I didn’t join this match too.

The next match tug of war. I was pretty sure my class would win because there were 3 “big” guys in my class. And my prediction was true, my class advance to the next stage. The last match was boy's dodgeball vs X IPA 6. I joined this match but I was the one who hit first from my class. But my class won.

The first match in second day was boy"s dodgeball vs X IPA 1. I didn't play becaues my friend wanted to play too. Unfortunately, my class lost. The next match was relay race vs X IPA 5. My class won again  but in the next stage  we lost from XI grade. The next match was basketball vs X IPA 8. I played in this match but we lost 10-2.

The next match was chess vs X IPA 4. We won but in the next stage we lost from XI grade. The next match was tug of war vs X IPA 5. In the first round we lost but in second and third round we could turn the table and won 2-1.

The next match was voleyball. I played in this match and we won this match. The next match was girls' and boy's badminton. I played in boy's badminton. We couls win and advance to the next stage. My match vs XI IPA 7 wasn't really interesting. The score was 15-2 and 15-5. The last match was girls' dodgeball. Of course i didn't play. They won and advance to the next stage.

The first match in the last day was girls' futsal vs XI IPA 8. They were defeated and the score was 2-0. The next match was tug of war vs XI IPA 8. It was really tensed because two big guys didn't come and one player was injured. I decided to play and did my best. At last, we won just in two rounds. The last match was boy's futsal vs XI IPA 7. I predicted that we would lose because their players were really good. And we lost but the score wasn't bad just 2-0.

Finally, the event had finished. My class sent 3 candidates to the final, they were tug of war (vs X IPA 6), girls' dodgeball (vs XI grade), and boy's badminton (vs XI IPA 2). In tug of war, I played in first round and we won. The next match was boy's badminton. I played in 1 game too. Unfortunately, we lost and the score was 21-19 and 21-15.

The last was girls' dodgeball. The first game my class lost but in the second game my class win. The third game was really tensed. It's just 1 vs 1, the other players had been hit. The player from my class, Melia Fatimah was going to be hit but she catched the ball and passed it to the best player from my class, Auliya Tri Meliani. Then she throwed it to the opponent and she got hit because she wasn't really ready. Finally my class won.

At last, my class won 2 categories, tug of war and girls' dodgeball.

This song tells us about a girl who breaks up with someone and she regrets it. After she knew that she was wrong, she wanted to comeback to him but it's too late. From this song we can learn to value something while it lasts, if life gives us problems don't give up, just face it and finish it, and many more.

In my opinion, this song is really great. The lyrics were touching and the meaning is really deep. In the beginning of the song, the ryhthym is slow. But when the beats drops, everything is different from the beginning of the song. I think this song is ear-catchy too. I love this song!

Education to Build a Better Fututre for All

Knowledge is something we learned that help us through this life. Knowledge is a very important things and it is related to education. Education affected a country. If a country has a bad educational system, their human products won’t be good enough to compete with other counties. But, if a country has a good educational system, their human products will be great and they can compete with other countries. With education, a country can grow up really high, for example Japan with their technology, China with their product, and many more. Their educational system is one of the best and it made them more advance than the others.

I experienced an educational system in my country, Indonesia, and I think it’s terrible. Student in high school must mastered more than 20 lessons in a year. Students in mathematical and natural sciences class are obligated to studied Indonesian history and we must choose 2 extra lessons (Geography, Economy, History, Social, Anthropology, Germany, English literature, and Indonesian literature) even though we don’t even want it. I heard in another country (European) that students there can join any class they like. So they can choose class depend on their will.

Because of my experience, I want to create a curriculum based on my own.

Cinderella

Once upon a time there lived an unhappy young girl. Her mother was dead and her father had married a widow with two daughters. Her stepmother didn't like her one little bit. All her kind thoughts and loving touches were for her own daughters. Nothing was too good for them - dresses, shoes, delicious food, soft beds, and every home comfort.

But, for the poor unhappy girl, there was nothing at all. No dresses, only her stepsisters’ hand-me-downs. No lovely dishes, nothing but scraps. No rest and no comfort. She had to work hard all day. Only when evening came was she allowed to sit for a while by the fire, near the cinders. That’s why everybody called her Cinderella.

Cinderella used to spend long hours all alone talking to the cat. The cat said, . Miaow. , which really meant, . Cheer up! You have something neither of your stepsisters has and that is beauty.. It was quite true. Cinderella, even dressed in old rags, was a lovely girl. While her stepsisters, no matter how splendid and elegant their clothes, were still clumsy, lumpy and ugly and always would be.

One day, beautiful new dresses arrived at the house. A ball was to be held at the palace and the stepsisters were getting ready to go. Cinderella didn't even dare ask if she could go too. She knew very well what the answer would be: . You? You're staying at home to wash the dishes, scrub the floors and turn down the beds for your stepsisters. They will come home tired and very sleepy.. Cinderella sighed, . Oh dear, I'm so unhappy!. and the cat murmured . Miaow..

Suddenly something amazing happened. As Cinderella was sitting all alone, there was a burst of light and a fairy appeared. . Don't be alarmed, Cinderella,. said the fairy. . I know you would love to go to the ball. And so you shall!. . How can I, dressed in rags?. Cinderella replied. . The servants will turn me away!.

The fairy smiled. With a flick of her magic wand Cinderella found herself wearing the most beautiful dress she had ever seen. . Now for your coach,. said the fairy; "A real lady would never go to a ball on foot! Quick! Get me a pumpkin!. Oh of course,. said Cinderella, rushing away. Then the fairy turned to the cat. . You, bring me seven mice, and, remember they must be alive!.

Cinderella soon returned with the pumpkin and the cat with seven mice he had caught in the cellar. With a flick of the magic wand the pumpkin turned into a sparkling coach and the mice became six white horses, while the seventh mouse turned into a coachman in a smart uniform and carrying a whip. Cinderella could hardly believe her eyes.

Cinderella had a wonderful time at the ball until she heard the first stroke of midnight! She remembered what the fairy had said, and without a word of goodbye she slipped from the Prince. s arms and ran down the steps. As she ran she lost one of her slippers, but not for a moment did she dream of stopping to pick it up! If the last stroke of midnight were to sound... oh... what a disaster that would be! Out she fled and vanished into the night.

The Prince, who was now madly in love with her, picked up the slipper and said to his ministers, “Go and search everywhere for the girl whose foot this slipper fits. I will never be content until I find her!” So the ministers tried the slipper on the foot of every girl in the land until only Cinderella was left.

That awful untidy girl simply cannot have been at the ball,. snapped the stepmother. . Tell the Prince he ought to marry one of my two daughters! Can't you see how ugly Cinderella is?. But, to everyone. s amazement, the shoe fitted perfectly.

Suddenly the fairy appeared and waved her magic wand. In a flash, Cinderella appeared in a splendid dress, shining with youth and beauty. Her stepmother and stepsisters gaped at her in amazement, and the ministers said, "Come with us Cinderella! The Prince is waiting for you." So Cinderella married the Prince and lived happily ever. As for the cat, he just said "Miaow!"

My School Life

I’m a student of 3 Senior High School Bandung. My school is famous because it is the best school in Indonesia. I’m happy that I can enter this school. But the lesson is hard, there are a lot of homeworks, many tests in one day, and we must choose at least one extracurricular. I’m already busy by the homeworks but I choose 4 extracurriculars. They are MK 3, BM, UBBAS, and BC. Of course I will be busier but I’ll just do it happily.

MK 3 or “Musik Klasik 3” is a music club. If you can’t play any instrument, it’s okay. You can join this club because there are coaches that will teach you how to play it. In this club, there are classes such as guitar class, piano class, violin class, vocal class, drum class, etc. You can join more than one class. I join guitar class.

BM or “Belitung Muda” is a soccer club. We play 3 times a week at Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. But sometimes just one time a week i don’t why. We practice at 3/4 p.m. until 6 p.m. First, we must do warm up before we play so that we don’t get cramps. Then, we practice passing, shooting, dribbling, and many more. After that, we play games until 6 p.m.

UBBAS or “Unit Bola Basket” is a basketball club. This club practice at Thursday and Saturday. But ususally I just practice in Saturday because I have Geography class until 4 p.m. Different than BM, usually there is no coach and we just play basketball.

BC or “Badminton Club” is a badminton club. This club practice at Saturday from 1 p.m. until done (usually until 3 p.m.). I usually just play one time because there is just one badminton field. But we can play on the side of the field.
