Saturday, September 19th 2015, my school
held an event that called “Gamarvani”. It was a festival that presented arts
and cultures of West Java.
In the morning, I would go to Bali Field, where the
event took place, by myself. But my friend texted me and he wanted to go there
together. So I met my friends at school and then went to Bali Field together.
There, we had to stand in line because we participated in
a parade. We must wear traditional clothes, the boys wear “Pangsi” and the
girls wear “Kebaya”. The route were from Bali street-Belitung street-Sumatra
street-Aceh street-Merdeka street-Jawa street then went back to Bali street.
After that there were performances by SD BPI and SD Kartika. We felt tired already
so we decided to go to my friend’s house near school. It was so cold that I
relaxed for a while.
At around 12 p.m, we decided to go back to Bali Field.
Before that we prayed first. At Bali Field we got our body and things checked
before entered there. Unfortunately, my scissors and my plastic ruler were
confiscated. I understand why my scissors was taken but what about my plastic
ruler? Is it dangerous? Whatever I just dissapointed.
As we entered Bali Field, we felt hungry already. There
were so many foods that I confused to decide which food should I buy. My friend
wanted to buy a food called “Bitebox”. Just like the name, the food was laided
on a box. It looked delicious. So I bought it too. It was really good. But the
price wasn’t really good. It was really expensive to me.
After that we played traditional game called “Boy-boyan”.
At first, I didn’t really interested but the mc said the winner will get rewards.
I just aimed for the prize. We played 4 versus 4, 3 boys and 1 girls. In the
end my team lost. So we didn’t get the prize. After that we just sat on the
corner watching performances on the stage.
At around 3 p.m, we decided to pray Ashar as soon as
possible to avoid crowd. Luckily, there were just a few people in musholla so
we could pray peacefully. Finally, the group that I had waited for ages, Tiloes’
Theatre, finally performed. And they didn’t dissapoint me! It was great and
really funny. The jokes were really good. I really appreciated their effort to
prepared that performance. I’m kind of struck with amazement and admiration to
them. The performance ended at around 5.40 p.m, so we decided to go to musholla
for prayed maghrib. But the musholla was already crowded so we couldn’t
pray peacefully.
After maghrib, the most-waited-performances would
perform. There were Adera and Hivi! Before Adera performed, we ate something
first so when we watched the performances our stomach was already full. Unfortunately,
Adera was late. I was a little bit dissapointed and my foots a little bit
hurted too. Although Adera was late, it was worth to wait because his
performance was great, as expected from a national singer. After he sang for
about 5-6 songs, I felt tired, sleepy, and now my legs hurted more after standing
for a long time. So I just decided to go home.
Although I didn’t watch Hivi!’s performance, I’m satisfied
with the event. And because of Gamarvani, I can meet my old friends from elementary school and junior high school. I’m sure next year I’ll be
there again.
